who am i anyway? am i my resume? that is a picture of a person i don’t know. what does he want from me? what should i try to be?

Those are lyrics from a song in A Chorus Line. I guess that makes it obvious that I love musicals. My dream job used to be performing on Broadway, despite the fact that I can’t act, sing, or dance. If I had a million dollars, I would fix all that. 🙂

Now, I’m convinced that my dream job would be booking segments on Ellen, although I don’t want to leave Nashville and am quite happy with my current job. I work in the Christian music industry and while it gets flack sometimes, I absolutely love it. I love the people and the heart behind the music. When it’s pure, it’s pure and you can feel the authenticity. When it’s not genuine, it’s obvious. Luckily, I haven’t run into many people that I would consider inauthentic, but maybe I’m not observant enough, not “in the know” enough, or just don’t have a good judge of character.

I bought a house in August of 06. That’s right, another single woman out paving her own way. I am almost 26. Turning 26 will be really, really scary. My degree is in psychology but I have yet to use it. I listen to NPR and download podcasts every Monday to listen to at work. Which podcasts? Thanks for asking! Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me, Car Talk, and This American Life. I listen to them in that order and I really like it when Mo Rocca and Paula Poundstone are on the same episode of Wait, Wait.

There’s more, but I’m sure it will all be revealed in the blog. 🙂
